WATERBURY - It is with great sadness that we share that Linda Anne (Walsh) Donnelly, age


77, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 17th, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.


Linda was born in Waterbury, Ct. May 4th, 1948, daughter of Evelyn Walsh Brown and the late


William J. Walsh Sr.. She was a graduate of Wolcott High School and St. Marys School of


Nursing, becoming a L.P.N.. She later graduated from Mattatuck Community College, becoming


a Registered Nurse.


Linda worked and retired from St. Mary’s Hospital after 25 years of service. She later worked as


nursing supervisor at several nursing homes, worked for an agency giving care to the homeless,


and worked for an allergist until she was 73.


Linda was the past president of the Naugatuck Emblem 160 Club. Her main love and focus was


on her family. She adored her son and granddaughter. Her happiest moments were spending


time with them.


In addition to her mother Evelyn, Linda is survived by her son Robert J. Donnelly Jr., her


granddaughter Madeline Donnelly, sisters Peggy Walsh and her wife Nancy Traver and Wendy


Meagher and her husband Bill, nephews Matthew Walsh, Michael Walsh, Joseph Meagher,


James Donnelly, Michael Donnelly, Chris Monroe, James Monroe and nieces Jessica Meagher,


Nancy Trauig and Mary Alice Paradiso. She was also blessed by wonderful in laws Diane


Monroe, Sharon Donnelly, and James and Ruth Donnelly.


Linda was predeceased by her husband Robert J. Donnelly Sr., brothers John J. Walsh, William


J. Walsh Jr., nephew John J. Walsh Jr. and great nephew Joseph Walsh.


Special thanks to Waterbury Hospital ICU staff who gave Linda outstanding care.


ARRANGEMENTS - Funeral will leave the Naugatuck Valley Memorial Fitzgerald Zembruski


Funeral Home, 240 North Main Street, Naugatuck Saturday May 31st at 10:00 A.M. for Our


Lady of Loreto Church in Waterbury for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30. Burial will follow in Mt.


Olivet Cemetery, Watertown. Calling hours will be Saturday from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. To send an
