NAUGATUCK- Margaret L. Cobbol, 93, of Naugatuck, died peacefully on December 31st, 2024 at Glendale Center surrounded by her loving family. She was the widow of John E. Cobbol.
Margaret was born September 25th, 1931 in Franklin, New Jersey, daughter of the late Imro and Helena (Matusik) Franek. She worked at Sperry Co. and Bankers Life and Casualty Co. as well as being a homemaker. She lived a life with strong faith in God, as evidenced by her daily reading of Scripture and her kindness to others. She was a member of the Naugatuck Woman's Club, an avid birdwatcher, and enjoyed traveling with her husband, especially trips to Vermont and going on cruises.
Margaret is survived by her daughters and sons in law Cathy and Michael Hansum of Ridgefield, Nancy and Martin Mattessich of Woodbridge, Barbara and David Jones of New Hartford and Suzanne and Kevin Tordoff of Old Orchard Beach, Maine; sister Helen Ilnicki; grandchildren Stephanie, Kimberly, Ashley, Greta, Sarah, Thomas, Jillian, Rhian, Luke, Kaitlyn, and Hannah; and great grandchildren Lily and Parker. She was predeceased by her sister Mary Brich and brothers Anthony, John and Joseph Franek.
ARRANGEMENTS- Funeral Services will be held Saturday January 11th, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at Naugatuck Valley Memorial Fitzgerald-Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main Street, Naugatuck. Burial will follow in Grove Cemetery. Calling hours will be held from 9:00 A.M. until the start of services.
