THOMASTON- Mark Gregory Smolinski, 61, of Thomaston, died Wednesday, December 29th, 2021 at Waterbury Hospital. He was the husband of Linda (Orlando) Smolinski.
Mark was born in Waterbury, Ct. November 7th, 1960, son of the late Paul T. and Genevieve (Grabowski) Smolinski. He was a graduate of Naugatuck High School. He worked for M.J. Daley and Sons Plumbing Co. as a pipe fitter. He was a member of the Odd Fellows Club of Waterbury. He enjoyed old cars and car shows, the outdoors, working in the yard , planting flowers and spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife, Mark is survived by his brother and sister in law Bruce and Grace Smolinski of Aiken, South Carolina, brothers and sisters in law Frank and Arlene Orlando, Joseph Jr. and Jayne Orlando , James Orlando ,Joanne Rubbo, Debra and Anthony Miele, and Donna and John Santopietro and many nieces ,nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was also very close to several cousins. He was predeceased by his brother in law William Rubbo and his nephew William “Billy” Smolinski, who has been missing since 2004.
Arrangements- Funeral will leave the Naugatuck Valley Memorial Funeral Home, 240 North Main Street, Naugatuck, Friday, January 7th, 2022 at 9:30 A.M for Our Lady of Lourdes Church South Main Street Waterbury for Mass at 10:00.
