Mary-Lynn (Wobbles) Schmitz

Naugatuck-Mary-Lynn (Wobbles) Schmitz, loving wife of the late Harry J. Schmitz, III, passed away peacefully on Sunday May 17, 2026 at 60 West Health Care in Rocky Hill.  She was 67 years old.

Born in Waterbury, CT on April 23, 1959, she was the daughter of  Rosemary (Fogarty) Wobbles and the late Leonard Wobbles.  She was a lifelong Naugatuck resident and graduated from Naugatuck High School.  Mary-Lynn had worked in the insurance industry for many years for various companies, including William Raveis Agency in Shelton.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her cherished grandchildren.

She leaves her family to honor her memory, Kyle and Nicole Schmitz, and Abbey Schmitz and her partner Gordon Ploof, all of Naugatuck; her four grandchildren, Addison Schmitz, and Eleanor, Madison, and Gordon Ploof, IV; her brother James Wobbles of Texas; her sister Leona Broniewski of Naugatuck; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday May 22, 2026 from 9-10:30 a.m. at the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main Street in Naugatuck.  A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church Street, Naugatuck.  A reception will follow immediately after the Mass for those that can attend at Jesse Camille's Restaurant, 615 Church Street in Naugatuck.  To send an on line condolence or share a memory, please visit www.naugatucvalleymemorial.com.
