WATERBURY - Mary Louise (Tataranowicz) Pannone, 94, of Waterbury, died peacefully Sunday, May 4th, 2025 at her home in Waterbury, surrounded by her loving family. She was the widow of Anthony Pannone.
Mary was born in Waterbury April 23rd, 1931, daughter of the late Maciej and Mary (Kowalski) Tataranowicz. She was a hairdresser and worked in several area beauty salons including Maurice’s in Naugatuck. She was an active parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church.
Mary enjoyed cooking, baking, knitting, needlepointing, gardening and yard work. She worked during elections at the polling stations. She liked watching daily Mass, television shows and movies and most enjoyed listening to her Polka music on Sundays. Mary was fortunate enough to see her favorite Polka performer Bobby Vinton several times. She was devoted to her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mary is survived by her son Angelo D. Pannone of Bristol; daughters and sons in law Maria L. and Donald Ouellette of Waterbury and Katherine A. and Louis SantaBarbara Sr. of Oakville; grandchildren Nicholas Pannone and his wife Lori, Michael Pannone, Andrew Pannone and his wife Lauren, Rachel Pannone, Jennifer Ouellette, Nicole Hershberger, Jill Fusco and her husband Steve, and Louis SantaBarbara Jr and his wife Angela; and great grandchildren Brayden and Aubrie Hershberger, Paisley Ouellette, Anna, Emilia , Anthony, Zoey, Noelle and Arwen Pannone and Mason Fusco. She was predeceased by her daughter in law Donna A. Pannone, brother John Tataranowicz and brother and sister in law Stanley and Pat Tataranowicz .
Mary's family would like to express their gratitude to “Lou”, her caregiver, for the compassion and exceptional care that Mary received.
ARRANGEMENTS - Funeral will leave the Naugatuck Valley Memorial Fitzgerald Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main Street, Naugatuck Thursday, May 8th at 9:30 A.M. for Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Waterbury for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00. Burial will follow in Old Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury. Calling hours will be Thursday from 8:30 to 9:30 A.M.
