Waterbury- Michael Joseph Bonczek, passed peacefully on November 2, 2023. He was born on May 20, 1960 in Waterbury, Connecticut. He was a Naugatuck resident for most of his life, and lived in Waterbury for the last nine years in a home he shared with his sweetheart Susan.
Michael was a very special man to many, always available with a sympathetic ear and a warm cup of coffee. Always smiling and telling jokes, he lifted the spirits and filled the hearts of everyone he met.
He should been a comedian, something that came natural to him. He loved fishing, and learned ceramics by his close friend and advisor Fitz (Ed Fitzgerald), also a comedian and prankster. Mike enjoyed woodworking; he could take a fallen branch and turn it into wooden bowls. He was a friend of Bill and helped so many. He was warm hearted and could make everyone laugh.
He joins his mother Anna, his father Stanley, and his oldest brother Gerard in the kingdom of heaven. He is survived by his older brother Lawrence, his sweetheart Susan, his sister-in-law Paula, his nieces Delanea, Jessica and Laura, and his nephew Nicolas.
