Paul Cappello Obituary

Naugatuck-Paul A. Cappello, age 71, beloved husband of Amy (Schneider) Cappello, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday January 28, 2021.

Born in New Haven, CT on September 20, 1949, he was the son of the late Louis and Louise (Hillo) Cappello.  He lived in Naugatuck with his family since 1983.  Paul taught Mathematics for over 30 years at Notre Dame High School in West Haven, where he also coached tennis. He also taught mathematics at Southern Connecticut State University and the University Of New Haven. He enjoyed tennis, running, hiking and spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his loving wife Amy, Paul leaves his sons, Christopher P. Cappello and his wife Maria of Kalaheo Hawaii, and Matthew R. Cappello and his wife Allison of Munich Germany; his brother Charles Cappello and his wife Deborah of Northford, CT;  his sister in law Barbara Cappello of Wallingford, CT; and several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his brother Louis Cappello.
