Peter John Crowe, age 70, of, Waterbury, Connecticut, passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2025, alongside his two daughters, JodiMaria (Crowe) Rosa and Jacqueline (Crowe) Downs at the Intensive Care Unit of Waterbury Hospital, after Pete’s adverse and sudden reaction to treatment.

Pete, was born on June 2, 1954, was a lifelong resident of Waterbury. Left to honor and cherish him in loving memory is his firstborn daughter Jodimaria (Crowe) Rosa, her husband, Christopher J. Rosa, and their children, Ava Lynn, Aiden C., and Anthony J.  Rosa of Rhode Island. Peter also leaves his second daughter, with whom he lived, Jacqueline (Crowe) Downs and her husband, Shane R. Downs and their two children, Jackson Paul, and Savannah Rae, of Waterbury, Connecticut. Pete was lovingly called “Pop” by his five grandchildren. Pete is predeceased by his younger brother, John R. Crowe, recently passed away in 2023. Pete is also predeceased by his parents, Lucille (Lucia) Maria (Pace) Crowe, and John (Jack) Daniel Crowe.

Pete graduated St. Lucy’s Grammar School and graduated Crosby High School in 1972. Pete attended Quinnipiac College, and revived BA in Accounting with a Minor in Law in 1976. Pete found his CPA niche in the dual roles of accounting and auditing, his specialty.  Pete became a licensed HVAC Technician, working independently and for Joseph Cipriano, Owner of J M Cipriano and Sons. 

Pete’s life largely revolved around music. He was lead singer in Waterbury’s 1970's contemporary rock-and-roll groups, Tales of Woe and Frog Mortin. The group gained high success and recognition, winning several ‘Battle of the Bands’ and played at venues between Connecticut and New York. Pete also had a love for playing on various softball and bowling leagues. Pete was an avid Dallas Cowboys and New York Yankees fan.

It is with profound sorrow that Pete’s two daughters, Jodi and Jacqueline, share this news. Fitzgerald Zembruski Funeral Home is assisting the family with his arrangements. There are no calling hours. A memorial and celebration of Pete’s life will be held on Saturday April 19, 2025 at 2 p.m. at 208 Juniper Ridge Drive in Waterbury. All they ask for is continued prayers for Pete, and for his family.
