Naugatuck-Richard Przybylski, age 70, beloved husband of Helen Leopardi, passed away peacefully on Sunday October 6, 2024 at Mid -State Medical Center.

 

Born in Bridegport, CT on August 10, 1954, he was the son of Mitchell and Ann (Kohut) Przybylski.  Richard lived most of his life in Trumbull and resided in Naugatuck for the past 38 years.  He had retired from Brooks Brothers in Westport and spent many years working for Barney’s New York in Wesport.  He enjoyed cooking, music, wine and his cigars, and was a die- hard New York Yankee fan.  He was an avid golfer and a member of Hop Brook in Naugatuck.

 

Richard was proud of his son Ryan’s success and accomplishments, and took great joy in babysitting his grandchildren Dylan and Claire.  He also enjoyed many years of beach vacations with family and friends.

 

In addition to his wife Helen, Richard leaves his family to honor his memory, son Ryan Przybylski and his wife Heather of Hamden; his grandchildren, Dylan Przybylski and Claire Przybyski; his brother Alan Przybylski and his wife Lynda of Wallingford; his sister Carolann Przybylski of Waterbury; and several nieces and nephews.

 

Visitation will be held on Friday October 11, 2024 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main Street, Naugatuck.  A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church Street, Naugatuck.  Burial will be in Grove Cemetery.
