Robert Edward Dugan Sr.

WATERBURY- Robert Edward Dugan Sr.,70, of Waterbury, died peacefully Wednesday February 12th, 2020 at Waterbury Hospital with his loving family beside him. He was the widower of Michele E. (Freeman) Dugan.

Rob was born in Waterbury December 6th, 1949, son of the late John J. and Virginia (Christiano)  Dugan Sr.  He worked at Richards Metal Products in Wolcott for 30 years until his retirement in 2009. 

Rob attended Woodstock in August of 1969, was a huge Beatles fan , and was one of the last true hippies of his generation . He enjoyed collecting memorabilia, live theatre and trips to the casino. Most of all, he loved his family.

Rob leaves his daughter and son in law Shawnda and Frank Barbosa of Waterbury; brothers Dennis Dugan and husband Eli Santana of Waterbury and David Dugan and wife Pamela of Prospect; sisters and brothers in law Sheila and Robert Patrick and Virginia and Elias Feliciano of Waterbury and Diane and Peter Devit of Prospect; son in law James Wallace,  grandsons Francisco Barbosa, Michael Barbosa and his fiance Erica Campos, Nicholas Barbosa and Robbie Wallace all of Waterbury, and Brett Wallace and his fiance Michelle Toledo of Torrington. He was predeceased by his son Robert Dugan Jr.,  daughter Robin Dugan, brothers John J. Dugan Jr., Donald C. Dugan and Gerald Dugan and sister Denise Dugan.

ARRANGEMENTS- Funeral services will be held Wednesday February 19th at 10:00 A.M. at Naugatuck Valley Memorial/ Fitzgerald Zembruski Funeral Home 240 North Main Street,  Naugatuck. Friends may visit with the family from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service. Burial will follow in All Saints  Cemetery, Waterbury..
