Obituary
NAUGATUCK- Scott Joseph Robinson, 59, of Naugatuck, died Friday, July 28th, 2023 at his home after a long illness. He was the beloved husband of Debra ( Maggi) Robinson, his wife of 31 years.
Scott was born in Waterbury January 25th, 1964, son of the late Joan Krzykowski and Joseph Robinson. He was a graduate of Naugatuck High School class of 1982. He was employed at Portmeirion USA in the shipping department for over 20 years. A lifelong resident of Naugatuck, Scott was very active in youth sports. He served as Director of the Little Pal Basketball League at the Y.M.C.A. and coach of the Knights of Columbus for over 20 years. He also coached baseball in both Union City and Peter J. Foley Little Leagues. Scott was inducted into the Naugatuck Hall of Fame in 2016.
Scott also had a deep love of music . His favorite singer was Olivia Newton John. He was a fan of the Boston Red Sox, the N.Y. Jets and the Georgetown Hoyas.
In addition to his wife Debra, Scott leaves his sister and brother in law Tracy and Peter Sutherland, brother and sister in law Dale and Gina Robinson and brother in law James Maggi, all of Naugatuck; mother in law Carol Maggi, brother in law Eddie and Donna Maggi and sister and brother in law Sherrie and Irving Juliano , all of Waterbury; and nieces and nephews Jon Rogers, Stephanie (Maggi) Fergenson, Brittany Maggi, Thomas Bouchard, Joshua Robinson, Ryan Sutherland, Irving Juliano Jr., Stephanie Sutherland and Makaylla Juliano. He was predeceased by his nephew Mark Maggi.
ARRANGEMENTS-Funeral Services will be held Wednesday , August 2nd, 2023 at 7:30 P. M. at Naugatuck Valley Memorial Fitzgerald Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main Street Naugatuck. Calling hours will be from 4:00 P. M. Until the start of services.
