Prospect- Susan (Suvoski) (Schoppenhauer) Blondis passed at peacefully at home at the age of 75 on Saturday October 17th. She was the wife of John Blondis for 39 years until his passing in 2012. She was previously married to Peter Schoppenhauer, Sr. of Waterbury.
Susan was born on June 24th 1945, daughter of the late Edward and Sophie (Dinkowski) Suvoski.
She was a longtime resident of Prospect and a communicant of St Anthony’s in Prospect.
Susan was a compassionate caregiver for so many members of her family, especially for her husband and beloved father who later in his life resided with Susan.
Susan adored her grandchildren Skylar, Kyle and Kelsey and was a champion cheerleader for them throughout the years in their many activities.
Susan loved grand birthday celebrations and holidays. She dearly loved her many pets through the years. She enjoyed simple pleasures most and loved beach outings in Milford, a cold Pepsi and a plate of fried shrimp from Jimmies in Savin Rock. Susan enjoyed playing cards with friends and family and could be ruthless during setback.
Susan leaves her son Peter Schoppenhauer, Jr. and wife Sharon of Wolcott; her grandchildren Kyle and Kelsey Schoppenhauer; daughter, Krista Schoppenhauer and her spouse David Joy of Prospect, and her granddaughter Skylar Schoppenhauer who resided with her grandmother in Prospect. She also leaves behind her loved nieces, nephews, and many cousins and close friends.
The family would like to thank Masonic Care of Wallingford for their wonderful support during Susan’s illness.
