Vincent T. Horgan, husband of Marlene (Krulikoski) Horgan, passed away peacefully at VITAS at St. Mary’s Hospital on August 2, 2020 after a short but courageous battle with cancer
Vincent was born in Waterbury (a twin) on November 4, 1951 to the late Christopher and Ellen (Fallon) Horgan. He attended Sacred Heart Grammar School and graduated from Crosby High School. He also spent many years attending various programs for special licensing in plumbing and heating.
He was the owner of VT Burner Service for many years and a co-owner of B & H Oil Co. along with his late business partner Roger Boisvert.
Vinny was a very active communicant of St. Hedwig’s Church and served as an usher for several years until their closure and now more recently a communicant at St. Francis Church. He was very dedicated to his church.
Vinny was a very involved family man having coached at Peter J. Foley Little League and was on the Board of Directors there for many years. He also taught plumbing and heating at the Kaynor Tech evening program for several years. He was also an 8 year member of the Army National Guards of CT.
Besides his wife of 48 years, he leaves behind to cherish his memory his two sons Brian and his wife Michelle of Beacon Falls and Eric and his wife Evelyn of Beacon Falls; his granddaughter, Mackenna, daughter of Brian and Michelle, the light of his life with whom he had a special bond, who referred to him as “Poppy”.
He also leaves behind his sister Eileen DaSilva of El Cajon, CA, sister Karen (Nick) Guiditta of Wolcott, brother William (Cathy) of Fort Myers, FL, sisters Christine Linden of Waterbury, Margaret Donahue of Waterbury, Kathleen (Don) Binette of Naugatuck, Brenda (Joseph) Thurston of Prospect and sister-in-law Dawn Horgan of Waterbury, the wife of his late twin brother Joseph. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, in-laws Debra and Nick Aiello and two step great granddaughters Kaylena and Salena Estrada.
A special thank you to the most wonderful neighbors for their support and love: the Pistarellis, the Roykas and the Rossis.
