Dear Mom, The time has finally come to say good-bye. I never realized just how hard it would be. Today is my birthday and I'm not enjoying it. I keep expecting to walk into the next room and sit with you and watch HGTV like we have for the past two years, Can't imagine what I'll do on my days off now. You have always been there for me and Jeremy and Rhianna. You helped me raise them,taught them golf-this was their second home. You and Dad were there for us for every occasion and crisis, from dance recitals and graduations to colicky horses and homes lost to hurricanes and fires. You were much loved,and will be missed by your family in America and Australia. I promise to take good care of mickey till he joins you and Dad in Heaven. Good-bye Mom, Love Eileen

My family and I would like to offer our deepest sympathies to you and your family. We are so sorry for your loss. Please know that you are never alone. Turn to the Holy Scriptures for guidance and to help soothe your heart. Psalms 34:18 assures us that God is near to those broken at heart and crushed in spirit. Please accept our deepest sympathies.

Sorry to hear of Aunty Betty's passing. I have fond memories of her visits to Australia. Her passion for golf and the hats we wear here. I still giggle when I remember her believing she retained her Aussie accent despite her time away. May she rest in peace and watch over those who loved her.

My deepest sympathies go out to my grandmothers three daughters; Aunt Eileen, Kathleen (my mom) and Aunt Bonnie; Please know you are loved and we are here for your always. Losing your last remaining parent is so very hard. I can’t imagine the pain you feel but.. i thought i would write a little something of my memories and love: There are no words can properly express the pain and sorrow of losing the matriarch of a family. My grandmother was an amazing woman who lived such an interesting and full life. The stories of old and knowledge that has passed with her, is what i will cherish and miss the most. My heart is broken that i will never again have my evening tea and colorful conversations with my feisty & beautiful grandmother. Thank you for instilling in me so many good things and values: like always dress your best and go out into the world every day, work hard and make something of yourself, be an independent and strong woman (no matter what) travel anywhere and everywhere you can, fall in love, stick by your mate/husband/wife through good times and bad; and always know what’s going on in the world. She prided herself on knowing the world and its events. I will always miss her telling me about the presidential debates and her quirky gossip about anyone and everyone (let’s be honest if you really knew Betty she loved her gossip). Betty was truly amazing and my heart is broken that she is no longer here. I know she is in a better place, with the love of her life by her side and she will always be another extraordinary angel watching over my family from above. Rest in peace grandma we will love and miss you always.
Love;
Keeley Phipps (grandaghter)

We have countless fond memories of Betty. She was like a "Second Mother" to Paul, a fellow Aussie. Her warm upbeat personality was just remarkable! She will be remembered as a generous and wise woman, and a great golfer, too. We shared many visits with Betty and her beloved husband, John. There were so many lively telephone conversations with her over the years. As a friend of more than forty years, she will be missed by us.
