I was very sad to hear of Irv's passing. I was in Irv's class both in St. Francis and NHS and remember all the many laughs he brought. His sense of humor definitely was a gift that he gave to all of us. I cannot help but remember him and smile. I will always remember a pep rally where he dressed as an Ansonia cheerleader with a sign "Lill" pinned to his shirt. He was a gem like no other. My sincere condolences to the whole family.

In our lifetime we all go thru so many changes in life. The loss of a someone you love usually is the most difficult to deal with . I considered Irv one of my true friends . I cant list all the times we shared but they will not be forgotten ,what a character . I never saw Irv unhappy ( unless he lost a golf match) if he was you would never know it, he will be missed by all and defiantly by me .
Thank you for all the times and great stories you could have wrote a book .. love your friend chet

Irv will be missed by all. He was a character who made you laugh no matter what. I had many great golf matches against IRV. What a competitor! At least a few times in the round of golf he would say "you know LOU". RIP IRV.

How can I possibly express my feelings towards your loss? So many times I wished I could see him again. Such a big part of my life. Too soon to be gone.

So sorry for your loss. I knew Irving when we were young we went to st Francis school he was big as life then and always playing pranks on everyone. Little did I I know that I would meet his wonderful daughter jackie and watch his awesome grandson Joey. May he rest in peace. Love marie and ken

I met Irv through his friend Tom Bedryczuk and I can't remember a time when I didn't laugh around him. His positive character brought out the best in everyone and he will be missed by all. My prayers go out to his family.

Irv was a bigger than life character, full of fun and wit. But on the golf course he was a killer - yet always ready to joke or throw a sarcastic jab while stepping on your throat. I'm glad I knew him and he will be missed.
