Waterbury-Sandra H. (Jones) Sweet, age 73, formerly of Naugatuck, passed away peacefully at St. Mary’s Hospital VITAS Unit on Saturday May 7, 2016.
She was born in Naugatuck, CT on September 23, 1942, daughter of the late Edward and Helen (Chmielinski) Jones. Sandra had worked for many years as a certified nursing assistant at various area health facilities. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Sandra is survived by her children, Diane Sweet of Waterbury, Donna Sweet of Meriden, and Shawn Sweet of Naugatuck; her seven grandchildren, Laura, Cole, Randy, Luke, Deborah, Jessica and Adam; her seven great grandchildren; her sister Barbra Forgione of Stamford and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her former husband, John Sweet.
Her funeral will be held on Wednesday May 11, 2016 at 6:30p.m. at the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald-Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main Street, Naugatuck.
