Losing a loved one, especially a God-fearing mother, leaves a void in the lives of her children that is never filled, but by God's grace becomes more manageable to bear with time. She would have been the first loving face her children saw as they entered this world, and their names would likely be the last she is sure to have breathed in prayer as she departed. Sis Blackman was a stalwart who faced life with a quiet determined faith and passionate love for the Lord and her family. We looked forward to receiving her letters to her beloved church family updating us of her welfare. She shall be missed and for those left on this earth, to see her again we must emulate her faith in and and commitment to her Saviour. May you find strength, peace and comfort in the arms of this Saviour as you look forward to the blessed hope of seeing her one day very soon. Marantha!

We have truly lost a brave soldier for Christ who lived an exemplary life while on her sojourn here! I was always very impressed by her unwavering committment to God and her faithful service to mankind; always performed quietly and graciously.
To those who were priviledged to have known and loved her as mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, aunt or any/all relations, I express my sincerest condolences!

Dear Linda and Natalie,
As I read the obituary I felt like I got to know your mom a little. What a lady! And lots of children! In Jesus, you will be with her again someday in the earth made new. All tears, all suffering forever ended.
In Christ,

We take comfort in the fact that Gran Gran was privileged to see a vision of Jesus' glory before she passed. She was blessed with a foretaste of the time--in the not so distant future-- when there will be no more night and darkness. The time when she will awake to everlasting joy and eternal life. I Thessalonians 4: 13-18, May God continue to bless and sustain you all.

To all the members of the Elcock and Blackman family.
No one can take the place of a mother, her love and tender care will always be remembered by her children and those who knew her. Children can never repay the debt for all the love that a mother gives to her children, grands and great-grans.
We however have the assurance that if we remain faithful we shall see her again in the earth made new.
Sis Blackman was a wonderful christian woman.
